Dave Workman

Farnborough Supporters Trust are saddened to learn of the passing of long-time supporter, Dave Workman, last month.

After moving to Oxfordshire to be close to family, Dave continued to attend matches regularly, a journey that involved two trains and lifts to and from the station from his long-time friend Bob Perry.

The pair worked tirelessly on match days on the 50/50 ticket stall, raising funds for FaST which has been invested in improving Ground facilities, a legacy worthy of such a dedicated, kind hearted, level headed friend of the Club.

Dave was laid to rest at a quiet family Funeral on Wednesday (20 December), but he will live long in the memory of many Farnborough fans.

A minute’s applause was held to honour Dave at the New Year’s Day fixture against Havant & Waterlooville.

The family have requested any supporters wishing to make a donation in memory of the late Dave Workman, please do so to Farnborough FC Supporters Trust.

Dave was a former FaST Chairman as well as the recipient of a Long Service Award, with the Supporters Trust close to his heart.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
